Family Law Page

Virginia Divorce encompasses all family matters: spousal abuse, desertion, adultery, domestic violence, pre-marital agreements, living together agreements, as well as child custody, alimony, child support and division of property.

Most of our work is uncontested divorce, which we handle on a flat fee basis.  We passionately want your business, and make a point of speed, efficiency and quality in obtaining divorces in the Washington Metropolitan Area.   We know you are probably concerned about expense, so here is what we charge:

Reduced fees based on financial need are available in person.  Reduced  fees are not published for a reason:  The most important thing about our attorney-client relationship is the confidence you place in your counsel.  It is not defined by money.  It is defined by the assurance that you have someone competent, effective, efficient and determined, who cares about you and the result you seek.

Filing fees, out of pocket costs, and unexpected complications are additional.

ª  In Virginia, if you are divorcing under the the "six month" statute, you must have no children of the marriage, and a property settlement agreement.  In such a case, the uncontested divorce and the uncontested property settlement agreement are handled for a package price.

These are the forms used in Fairfax County Family Law cases, commencing in July 2003.
